This course provides an overview of key concepts, tools and processes related to the management of electronic records within business information systems, electronic document and records management systems and informal repositories. Topics covered include:- Key concepts related to managing electronic records
- Managing records within business information systems (databases) and/or shared network drives
- Electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS) including:
- Purpose of such systems
- User requirements
- Selection processes
- System design and implementation
- Records management and EDRMS
- Recordkeeping metadata (including standards)
- E-Business and records management
- Preservation and longevity of electronic records
- Managing records within a hybrid environment
Learning Outcomes
